So, I realized yesterday that my right leg was all swollen from the knee down and feeling a little tender. I haven't bumped it or anything—definitely nothing hard enough to cause pain, let alone swelling. It actually seemed to settle down this morning, but then by this evening, it’s flared up again and looks really swollen. I’m totally lost because my legs have never acted like this before, and I definitely haven't had any injuries. It's honestly so weird... now one leg looks super thin compared to the other, which is visibly much thicker! I'm planning to head to the doctor if it doesn't clear up soon, but has anyone else dealt with something like this?

Man, the same thing happened to me just two days ago😢—it was awful.
I mean, my circulation just completely cuts out in that leg, and then the tingling starts.
I don't get it. Let me know if you find anything out? I just can't make it to the doctor right now... what a mess.😁😢

- try to stand less often
- wear comfortable shoes
- don't wear socks that are too tight
- cut back on the salt intake
- stay active—if you're carrying extra weight, losing it helps immensely
- massage the area; honestly, rosemary essential oil works wonders for circulation
- maybe some diuretic teas? Or something specifically to help flush the kidneys
- you should really get a complete blood count... or at least check your sodium, potassium, urea, and creatinine levels... basically whatever is necessary for kidney function. Of course, your doctor will be the one to decide what's best for you

By the way, are there any other health concerns I should know about? Is your heart and liver doing alright? Any swelling in other parts of your body?

you're welcome.

I can't even get an appointment with my doctor for a few days. I haven't really been on my feet much lately, either—and honestly, I used to be a dancer, so this kind of thing never happened to me before. I don't have any known health issues that would cause swelling, and I'm actually pretty slim, which is why this is so weird. Like, what is even happening?😠 coppergardener, thanks for the advice... but I just don't see any reason why this started. Nothing else seems swollen. Katie, does your leg hurt at all?

Are you on birth control or something? 😕
