Hide and Seek

Just finished watching that movie—the kind that stays on your mind for months. I really enjoyed it; the plot kept me totally hooked. What did you all think of the story and the overall themes? Also, can someone please explain that drawing Dakota made at the end with the two heads? Since her dad was Charlie and he killed everyone, I thought she was supposed to be perfectly fine, while David just assumed she was traumatized. Everything clicked until that drawing popped up. Was she dealing with a split personality or something? Help me out here before my brain melts.

I honestly watched this thing just because I was bored out of my mind, and... man, it was nothing special.
Once you’ve seen enough movies—and trust me, I have—you realize halfway through, if not sooner, that "Charlie" is actually her father. You know, the whole split personality trope. It’s such a tired cliché that’s been done to death in countless Hollywood thrillers.
I mean, who else could even be Charlie? There isn't another realistic candidate in the bunch. The neighbor is a total non-starter, and let's be real—that little girl is way too small to overpower an adult woman and drag her up the stairs to the tub.
Look, the movie isn't a complete disaster, but it’s totally unoriginal. We've seen this exact plot dozens of times before.

And that final scene... Talk about a cliché. It felt like they tried to tack on some random mystical twist at the end for no reason, just hoping the audience would walk out feeling confused enough to actually have something to talk about.
Too bad the rest of the movie didn't give us much worth talking about in the first place.
