Hey guys, I’m running into a bit of a headache with the RAM on my relatively new rig. I haven't even loaded it up with a ton of software yet, and over the last month or so, I've mostly just been using it for gaming.

But lately—like, this past week—it feels like it’s just devouring memory even when there aren't any heavy processes running... at least, nothing that I can actually see.

Check this out: this is what it looks like while idling, with nothing open but Chrome and some background stuff you can see right here:

I didn't sit here and do the math, but there is absolutely no way that list adds up to 4 GB.

Anyone got any tips on how to fix this or stop the bleeding?

I wouldn't exactly say there aren't any heavy background processes running. I see you've got 28 Chrome processes open right now. You should probably check out the "Details" tab to see what's actually eating up your RAM—this view doesn't even show everything...

I honestly don't see the issue here. You've got 8 gigs of RAM and you're only using half of it. That's just standard operating procedure for any modern OS.
