Do these mods actually sit glued to their screens all day watching every single post in their zone? Is this even a paid gig? Like, is this their only income or do they have actual jobs in the real world?

Before the inevitable wave of complaints starts rolling in, with people shouting things like "Oh, sure, we’re getting paid seven or eight grand a month" or perhaps those more dramatic cries of "The pay is pathetic, we spend all day grinding online, we haven't seen a paycheck in three months, and the boss is totally exploiting us" and so on, let me make one thing perfectly clear: these individuals moderate during their own private time, and their sole source of fulfillment is maintaining a precious PDF file and banning users 😍 In other words, this is pure volunteer work 😍

Well, now you can go back to your old ways... ha, ha, ha, ha!!! 😍 😍

Their only real joy in life is babysitting some precious PDF and banning people. 😍 So, volunteering. 😍

When is this stuff actually coming out? Are they slacking off on the clock or just playing moderator on their own time?

Look, I’m a head moderator over on another forum myself...
you don't have to be staring at a monitor 24/7. We usually have other mods stepping in to cover things.
but honestly, I love scrolling through all the new threads, so yeah, sometimes it eats up a chunk of my time.
As for the money part? Nah, I don't get paid. Usually, once a forum hits a certain level of traffic and activity where ads actually start making sense, you can pull in some decent cash and the site stays in the black.
On a site like Reddit or something similar, pay might depend on how active specific subreddits are, though most people around here just volunteer for their specific niche.
