Hi there,

I’m looking to hear from anyone who has gone through a full Hollywood smile makeover...

It seems like this has become such a massive trend lately, especially with how much you see on Instagram.
That said, I’d love to hear real personal stories and perhaps some professional advice too.

It feels like so many younger people with perfectly fine teeth are opting for crowns or veneers across their entire upper or even both jaws—it looks like everyone in Hollywood and all the new influencers are doing it!

I’m personally really unhappy with my smile, mainly because of the color, and whitening just hasn't done the trick for me.

How "smart" is it really to commit to crowns or veneers for every single tooth? I’m considering just doing the top 10.

What are the biggest downsides, specifically regarding the fact that crowns eventually need replacing? Is the final result actually worth the investment?

I’ve read about getting a single crown, but fixing one tooth is a world away from sacrificing all your teeth—even the healthy ones—just for aesthetics.

I already have two crowns, but the shade doesn't quite match; I’ve heard that natural teeth yellow over time while crowns stay bright white, so does it make sense to redo my front teeth to match?

If anyone has experience with this, please share! I’m especially looking for recommendations for clinics that truly prioritize high-end aesthetics and achieving a natural look... Also, if anyone else is currently researching this, let's chat!

🤣

The whole "aiming for a natural look" thing just doesn't square with the "Hollywood smile" vibe

A Hollywood smile isn't about looking natural—it’s almost impossible when you factor in that blindingly bleached shade that seems mandatory nowadays (at least based on what I see on Instagram and among the celebs).

You can spot that artificial look from a mile away... take someone like a typical influencer in Los Angeles, for example.

You can spot that unnatural look from an airplane... like those celebrities in Los Angeles...

Maybe I should have titled this a "smile makeover," since that's really what I had in mind.
I agree that some results definitely go overboard, and I'm not a fan of the exaggeration either! That's exactly why I was asking where to find someone who focuses on a "natural" look.

I saw Dr. Tanasijević from Mexico on Instagram, and his work looks absolutely stunning!

I think you mentioned somewhere else there was a thread about veneers and those porcelain chips...

Honestly, I don't know how anyone can justify grinding down perfectly healthy teeth just because they aren't bright enough for a Hollywood close-up. That’s a call you have to make for yourself.
The thing is, veneers and those little dental caps don't last forever. Depending on how old you are when you get them, you're basically signing up for a lifetime of repeating the same expensive procedures.
