Hi everyone π
About a year ago, I was diagnosed with latent hypothyroidism: my TSH levels were elevated, though my T3 and T4 remained within the normal range, and an ultrasound confirmed chronic thyroiditis.
I haven't started any medication yet, but I have a follow-up appointment scheduled with my endocrinologist in about a month. Interestingly, my weight is actually below the healthy range, which feels a bit off since I've always heard that weight gain is the standard symptom associated with hypothyroidism π
Before this checkup, Iβm planning to get my thyroid hormone levels tested again, but since Iβve been on Diane for five months now, I can't help but wonder if my results might be skewed... I know these hormones tend to influence one another. Is it possible for my birth control to interfere with the readings, and if so, how long would I need to stop taking Diane to ensure my thyroid values are accurate?
Thanks in advance π
