So you’re actually suggesting bribing some street thug to threaten the admin with bodily harm just to secure a moderator spot...

Since nobody seems willing to give a straight answer to the guy (at least not a sensible one), I’ll step in. I actually started a similar thread when I first joined this forum 😁 (though it got locked because people wouldn't stop spamming it). First off, you need to hit a certain post count—just ask someone around here for the specifics. From there, it's either a matter of waiting for the mods to notice you might be a good fit—since you aren't constantly picking fights, you don't insult people, you have zero bans or warnings on your record, and you generally act like a decent human being, which is what a moderator actually needs to be—or you can just send a DM to one of the current admins depending on which section you're eyeing. Once they discuss it among themselves or check their current roster, they might reach out via PM to see if you're still interested. Then, from the pool of interested candidates, the mods pick whoever they think is the best fit for the job 🙂 anyway, hope that clears things up for you 😁

Once a mod brings it up at their next meeting—or if they decide they're short-staffed—they might shoot you a PM asking if you're still interested. I mean, you have to hit a certain post count before they even consider making you an admin. It’s just how it works—they need to see if people actually think you'll be any good at it first.
I didn't mean I was just sitting there in silence waiting to hand out bans, per se... more like I just don't get sucked into those petty little personal arguments too often.
I'm not entirely positive on the specifics, but I think one of the mods mentioned something along those lines. I might be off base, though.😬
