How do I change my email address?

Hey—I’ve managed to lose access to the email address I used for my registration, which means I can't check on any of the threads I'm following... Is there a way to update my profile with the email I'm actually using now?

Just head over to Options, then hit EDIT email & password under the Settings & Options section. Type the new address into New email address: and Confirm new email address:, then just click Save changes.

Hey, I've run into a massive headache. I forgot my password, and since I'm permanently logged in on this computer, I can't log out because I won't be able to get back in.

To make matters worse, I deleted the email account associated with this profile. Now I'm totally stuck—I can't change my email address without the password, and I can't reset the password because the recovery link goes to an inbox that doesn't even exist anymore.

Is there any possible way out of this mess?

Just reach out to one of the admins—maybe someone like Nikki—and ask them to update your contact email address for you.

I'm running into a similar headache.
A coworker of mine is locked out completely.

She forgot her password
because she updated it recently.
And when she tries to request a reset via email

nothing shows up in her inbox at all.
So she's stuck outside the forum.

What's the move here?

And obviously, making a duplicate account isn't allowed, right?

Cloning yourself sounds like a laugh, but you can't go posting on all your old threads using a clone account. I mean, maybe the mods would cut her some slack this once, but let's be real—she'll be too busy fighting with tech support about why her emails aren't even hitting her inbox before she gets around to that. 🙂

Now she's just sitting there waiting for that activation link and password to hit her inbox, but nothing's coming...

Could be an issue with the email provider, who knows.🤷

Look, regarding clones—honestly, you can have as many accounts as your heart desires, I guess, but like dawn said, you aren't allowed to go posting under two different handles within the same thread.
Also, if one of your accounts happens to be banned, you're pretty much barred from posting at all, regardless of what other names you're using.

If someone actually wants to switch over and use a fresh handle on a thread where they were previously active under an old one, they've gotta give the mods a heads-up first, letting them know the old account is retired and they'll be sticking to the new one for that discussion from here on out.
