Regrettably, I seem to be perpetually susceptible to the common cold whenever the colder months roll around. I have never once opted for a flu shot, primarily because I am aware its efficacy is limited strictly to influenza—an ailment I practically never encounter, as it never actually puts me in bed or sends my temperature soaring. However, these standard colds and viral infections are exceptionally intense, and they prove to be an immense hindrance to my ability to carry out my daily responsibilities.
It is an unfortunate reality that I am not one for regular exercise, and since I rely on incredibly overcrowded public transit to get to the office, it is quite commonplace for me to fall ill three or four times during the winter season. Does anyone happen to have a recommendation for a specific remedy or supplement that might actually provide some relief?

With sufficient rest and quality sleep, regular relaxation techniques, physical activity, and a nutritious diet, one can also incorporate targeted supplements like Echinacea, honey-based products (including propolis and royal jelly), as well as specific vitamins and minerals if a deficiency has been clinically identified. What works effectively varies from person to person, as certain individuals are naturally more susceptible to viral infections than others. In my own experience, I managed to bring my symptoms under control solely through acupuncture. Furthermore, I have observed that excessive fatigue and an increased intake of sugary snacks significantly compromise my immune system's efficacy.

I’ve always been incredibly susceptible to these viral bugs. My body eventually fights them off—honestly, I tend to shake them off much faster than most people do—but those first two days are absolutely brutal, and I find myself having to rely on Tylenol with Vitamin C just to stay functional enough to get through my workday.

I make a concerted effort to maintain a healthy diet and cook most of my meals at home (though, if I'm being completely honest, I end up ordering pizza for lunch far more often than I should 🙂), and I generally manage to get somewhere between seven and eight hours of sleep... The one area where I truly fall short is physical activity, as I don't really engage in any regular exercise 😢 Aside from that, I take a B-complex supplement because I struggle with skin peeling on my hands. I think I might give some propolis a try; I’ve never actually used it before.

Back in my younger days, I used to catch every single virus that flew through the air, but somehow I’ve managed to toughen up to the point where I rarely deal with a common cold. Honestly, I can't even remember the last time I ran a fever.

It wasn't like I underwent some massive lifestyle overhaul; I just started making smarter choices about what I put on my plate. Even those nights when I don't get much sleep don't seem to knock me sideways anymore. The biggest shock was realizing my immune system didn't even flinch after that brutal bout of insomnia I went through for a while.

Try to stay active and keep an eye on your intake of Vitamin C.
Load up on plenty of raw and cooked vegetables, especially leafy greens.

I'm not sure how your digestion is holding up, but they say a strong immune system actually starts in the gut.

Alright, I make it a point to stick to my routine once a day 😁

Generally speaking, I try to maintain a balanced intake of fruits and vegetables, though I fully intend to ramp up my consumption and perhaps even invest in some sort of dietary supplement—even if, truth be told, its efficacy ends up being nothing more than a psychological placebo.

I find myself constantly surrounded by crowds in this massive metropolis, and frankly, I feel like I’m just a walking target for every single virus passing through the city.
