How to create a bootable DVD

So, I managed to find a copy of Windows XP Black Edition online via RapidShare, split into seven different parts. The idea is that once all seven files are unpacked, they should combine to form the complete installation setup for the OS. However, I've run into a strange snag: when I unpack the first .rar file, everything looks fine, but as soon as I attempt to extract the second one, I realize the contents are identical to the first file. Is this actually how multi-part archives are supposed to function? If this isn't right, does anyone know how I can go about turning these files into a bootable DVD?

You're just clicking on the first RAR file....

Put them all into one single folder and then right-click the first archive. Select "extract here" and they'll all unpack at once.

Well... I'm grinding away at this... So, just to clarify, if all I did was burn the image to a DVD using NERO, is that really it? Do I actually have a functional bootable CD/DVD now?

Give it a different name, otherwise you probably didn't even finish downloading the file. Happens to me all the time.
