How to do a home stool sample test

I’ve been browsing some videos on YouTube regarding how to collect a stool sample at home, and I came across this one American video showing a specific collection kit. It includes this little device—basically a mesh or a catcher—that you place over the toilet bowl to catch the specimen so it doesn't fall directly into the water. Does anyone know if there is anything similar available for purchase here in the States?

The sample I need to provide is specifically for a calprotectin test. Does it actually matter if the stool hits the water or the toilet bowl itself? I'm wondering if that would somehow contaminate the sample and make it useless for this particular screening, or is it perfectly fine to collect it even if it ends up touching the water?

It’s not like you’re scooping it out of a lake.
You just put some toilet paper in the bowl, finish your business, grab the sample, and then flush.
That’s how I handle it, at least.

One little trick you can try is taking some plastic wrap and laying it right over the shell—then just put a piece of paper on top and wrap it tight. That way, when you go to grab your sample, you can just hope everything slides right off the plastic smoothly...

Did you actually pick up a container at the drugstore? What's the plan here? Are you just going to walk up to the pharmacist and say, "Excuse me, can I have one of those things for baby food?" :-)

Commode chair. It’s a little awkward to admit, but I was just doing some routine searching online. If anyone happens to have incontinence pads available, feel free to shoot me a DM to buy them. Honestly, they're a much better solution than just using thin toilet paper. Or maybe even those baby training pants. I wouldn't normally go looking for these things, but I have some left over from caring for a bedridden patient, and they might actually come in handy for me.
