How to edit posts?

As far as I know, you can still edit your posts. You just have to do it within 90 minutes of hitting send if you missed something, right?

So, is the question whether I actually have the right to edit my post within a 90-minute window or not?

You have the ability to edit your posts as long as the option remains available to you. By default, you get a 90-minute window. However, certain subforums might have different rules in place. For instance, on the Corner for banned users, editing is completely disabled. At least, that's my understanding.

Exactly. I have the right to edit my posts by default within a 90-minute window. But over on the banned users' Corner, editing is off the table and emojis are forbidden.

Here’s the real question: if I have the right to edit a post, does that mean I actually have the right to fix a mistake? Or not? Am I just going to be insulted, mocked, or straight-up banned by some "brilliant" moderator for trying?

Second question: am I supposed to just sit here while a moderator insults me with total impunity?

I can't speak for everyone else, but as far as I'm concerned, you can definitely fix the mistake. If I happened to issue you a penalty in the meantime and you go ahead and rectify the error, feel free to ask me to rescind it. I wouldn't have any problem with that.

It’s one thing if you're just running an ad and decide to leave it up for an hour before pulling it down. Or if you send a message to someone you know is active just so they see it before you delete the rule-breaking content. If you're trying to game the system like that, there's no hiding from the consequences—at least not in my book.

Of course not.

It was about the image dimensions. I’ve spent time on other forums where the image posting is more advanced—you know, where they automatically resize everything for you. I got lazy and stopped checking file sizes altogether. I just click and link. But then I noticed one turned out massive and went to edit it. In the middle of that, some "wonderful" moderator swooped in and started insulting me.

I doubt you’ll get anywhere here without actual data—like links to the posts, the moderator's name, or the specific PM reported... Now the admins have to go through this mess. 🤷

I earned my ban because I’m just not the type to complain. If he wants to throw insults, I can certainly send him packing. But since this guy is such a coward, he went ahead and banned me instead. So, here I am, filing an appeal.

The admin and supermod have the links. Since this "wonderful" moderator was actually the one who insulted me first, I’d like to see some action taken regarding that. You might as well ban this post too.

I've been following this debate for a while now. Honestly, does anyone actually believe that what we're seeing today is progress? We talk about moving forward, but are we really just circling the drain? It feels like everyone is shouting, yet nobody is actually listening. You see people making these massive, sweeping claims about the economy or social shifts, but where is the substance? Where is the actual proof? It’s all noise. Is it just me, or is everyone else just as exhausted by the constant theater?
