Human bite wounds

Just got bitten. Should I leave it alone, slap a Band-Aid on it, or hit the Benadryl? What’s the move?

WHERE did it bite you? If the area is just red but there isn't any actual bleeding, then you don't have an open wound... which means there's nothing to worry about. You really need to use a bit more common sense, that's all there is to it.😳

there’s no bleeding and it isn't an open wound. It's just a bit scraped up and slightly swollen. Might be some bruising underneath. Honestly, I'd rather just leave it alone.

There’s really nothing you need to do about it.

There's no bleeding, it's not an open wound, just a little scratchy and slightly swollen. Maybe some bruised blood sitting under the skin. Honestly, it probably doesn't need anything at all, which would be ideal.

Clean it with some rubbing alcohol and slap some ice on it so the swelling doesn't get out of hand. You’re also going to want some Heparin—just grab whatever brand you find at CVS or Walgreens, they're all basically the same stuff—to help that bruising clear up faster.

Nothing to report so far. It feels like we're just spinning our wheels. 😁
