I would like to offer my apologies in advance if a discussion on this subject already exists elsewhere. I started this thread to address a situation that has been weighing heavily on my mind, hoping to connect with someone who might have faced a similar ordeal... however, that hope was dashed when the moderator simply replied, "Give me a break," and shut the whole thing down. It feels as though my low post count is being used to diminish my perspective, which isn't right. Closing threads doesn't exactly encourage anyone to participate more actively, does it? That is merely my observation.

I would like to formally request a clarification from the moderator in question, as I am genuinely at a loss regarding the current situation... As far as I am aware, this forum exists specifically for sharing experiences and providing mutual support to one another. Furthermore, I would kindly ask that this thread be unlocked, as I am truly interested in reading everyone's perspectives... Thank you.

First off, this thread isn't getting unlocked.

Secondly, you started this topic because you ended up hooking up with your boyfriend, a friend, and her boyfriend—basically a messy group situation where everyone was grinding and having sex in close proximity—and now you're spiraling because you feel disgusted with yourself, even though they all insisted everything was perfectly fine.

This doesn't qualify as a discussion topic for the Lifestyle Forum because it doesn't actually present a problem to be solved (at least not on this specific board), nor does it offer any real substance or conflict for a meaningful debate. If your goal is simply to vent about how repulsive you feel or express your sudden aversion to experimentation, please head over to a venting sub-forum or join one of the existing threads in the Psychology section.
Alternatively, you could just start a personal blog; not every passing thought needs its own dedicated thread on a community forum.

That is all.

I asked my question quite politely, and frankly, I feel like I deserved a much better response than that. Up until today, I was under the impression—and I’ve always heard—that this forum exists specifically as a space to turn to when you have questions or need support... Clearly, I was mistaken about that. To make matters worse, I happened to stumble upon two or three other threads that are almost identical to mine, yet they haven't been shut down. Even if a thread is closed for some reason, even if it feels unfair to me, there should at least be a clear explanation provided, rather than just an entirely inappropriate statement. I honestly have no idea what criteria are being used to decide who gets to post and who doesn't, but at this point, I truly don't care. Thanks.

I certainly understand that being a moderator isn't an easy gig, but that doesn't give anyone a free pass to enforce double standards or resort to insults.

Honestly, who exactly is insulting you? I’m struggling to see what kind of debate could even possibly take place in a thread like yours, if you ask me.

And while we're at it, do be a dear and send over the links to those similar threads you mentioned. I'd love to actually see these double standards you're talking about, please.

I’m currently just browsing on my phone, so I’ll post the full details once I’m back at my computer. It feels like we should be discussing similar experiences—much like how people debate those three-person relationship dynamics on other threads—and what one should realistically expect after something like that happens. But fine, no problem... if you want to keep the topic closed, that's your call. I wouldn't have any issue with it if someone had just given me a legitimate reason right out of the gate.

Look, you’ve been given a perfectly valid reason—this particular topic just doesn't have enough meat on its bones for a proper forum debate. And honestly, if you already knew there was a dedicated thread for discussions about threesomes, why didn't you head over there instead? There aren't nearly enough people on this site who can relate to the specific awkwardness of getting tipsy with a boyfriend and a friend (or her partner) and then dealing with the fallout of everyone being in the same room afterward. If you want to vent about those uncomfortable moments, please, take it to the threesome thread.

I just received an official excuse... though earlier on, I was met with more of a "please, give me a break" attitude. As for how much potential these discussions actually had, I honestly can't say, nor do I wish to jump to any conclusions. Regarding the actual content of the posts, no one can definitively claim that this hasn't happened to several other people on this forum as well. But fine, I have no desire to drag this debate out any further. As far as I'm concerned, this thread can be locked and put away
