Ideas for a charity drive?

We see all kinds of life stories playing out every day. Some are beautiful, some are happy. But unfortunately, Daniel Subanović’s story is anything but.

Daniel is a young guy, born in '83. He's been hit by one tragedy after another—losing his mother to a shell blast back in '91, his father to cancer, and his brother in a car accident. On top of all that, he lives with epidermolysis bullosa. It’s a brutal skin condition where even the slightest touch causes blisters that look like severe burns. His body is covered in them. His fingers have fused together, and because any physical effort tears his skin, he's basically trapped in place. He can only eat liquid or soft foods because anything else could tear his digestive tract. Now, he’s undergoing radiation because the cancer has spread to his lungs.

The admins have pinned "common theme for humanitarian action" to the top of the Health section—though, if you ask me, they might want to consider pinning it as a site-wide announcement instead, just so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle.
