I’m starting this thread because of some absolute nonsense that went down yesterday. Some total airhead grabbed me by the cheek so hard she wouldn't let go, and I honestly came pretty close to decking her right in the face just to get her off me. Once I finally managed to shake her off, my face was absolutely throbbing, and a few minutes later, everything just went numb for a bit. It still hurts today, though thankfully it's just a "normal" kind of ache. Look, we can joke around and play-fight all day, but this wasn't playing—it was an assault. Thinking back on it now, I swear I’d love to rip those fingers off some mindless, insensitive idiot. I am beyond livid.
Anyway, what I really want to know is how much damage can a pinch like that actually do? Is there any real risk of messing up the facial nerve?
And what about pinching other parts of the body where you end up covered in bruises? Is there any chance of something dangerous like blood clots happening from that?

P.S.
What is wrong with some women? Do they seriously think men's skin is made of rubber or a heavy bag at a boxing gym??? You people need to realize that even with those thin, weak, little fingers of yours, you can actually maim someone... for crying out loud. 😠

Why didn't you pinch her ass or her chest instead?👍

In that scenario, they’d just pin some violent or sexual misconduct charge on me and let the media circus tear my life apart. I'd be hunted down by every news outlet in the country like some kind of rabid animal until there was nothing left of me.

Some idiot girl pinched my cheek so hard she wouldn't let go, and I almost clocked her right in the face just to get free. Once I finally broke away, my face was throbbing, and then everything just went numb for a bit. It still hurts today, though it's mostly back to "normal." Look, we can joke around and play-pinch, but this was straight-up assault. Honestly, thinking about it now, I'd love to rip those fingers off some mindless, clueless person. I am absolutely livid.
Anyway, I want to know how bad a pinch like that actually is. Is there a risk of damaging the facial nerve?

Was she really that strong, or are you just sensitive? I’ve never heard of a woman pinching someone's cheek so hard that their whole face goes numb.

Look, if part of your face goes numb, does that mean you're being overly sensitive, or does it mean you just underwent some legitimate physical trauma? Honestly, anyone with a standard nervous system would be feeling numbness after being grabbed and yanked like that; we're all pretty much built the same way, so let's not jump straight to me being "too sensitive."
Just wrap your head around the physics of it—imagine someone suddenly lunging at you, grabbing your face with two fingers, and using every ounce of their strength to wrench your skin toward them without letting go. Trust me, it hurts like hell, and in that exact moment, your lizard brain is screaming at you to knock every single one of their teeth out just to stop the pain. And it doesn't stop there; the throbbing continues, followed by this weird numbness where you can't even feel your own face for a while. Seriously... some people clearly have zero concept of boundaries and don't grasp the massive gap between a playful "pinch" and actual physical assault. And I'll say it again regarding that individual—they are a total moron. I doubt I'll ever see them again if ☕

Not a chance. That was pure self-defense.👍
Profučako, this is your one golden ticket to pull this off and walk away unscathed.😛

Come on, quit the whining already; you aren't that fragile. The whole issue is just that you can't stand the lady. Just grab an ice pack and find a different auntie who actually wants to comfort you and give you a little love. Then you'll be all set.😍

Profučako, this is your golden ticket to go all out and just blow past the finish line.😛

Oh, come on now, quit the whining—it’s not like you’re some total fragile little snowflake. The real issue here is clearly just that you don't vibe with the lady in question. Just chill out, find an older woman you actually like to pamper you and give you all that affection you're craving, and then everything will be five stars again.😍

Every single "older woman" I've ever encountered either gives me the cold shoulder, tries to mess with my head, or straight-up abuses me.
I'm always the one stepping up and playing the hero when things get messy, but the second I need someone to have my back, nobody's around.

Damn, man, what if you aren't gay?😕🤷

Just kidding.😉

Just put some ice on it if it hurts. I highly doubt it's anything major.

Just picture how intense it has to be when someone suddenly grabs your face with two fingers and yanks you toward them with everything they've got, refusing to let go!? Trust me, it hurts like hell. In that exact moment, you get this primal urge to knock every single one of their teeth out because of the pain. And afterward? It hurts even more, plus you're left with that numbness where you can't feel your own face for a while. I'm telling you... some people clearly don't know where the line is. They don't get the difference between a little "pinch" and actual physical injury—or better yet, straight-up assault. And again, about that person—what an absolute idiot. I doubt I'll ever see them again if ☕

Then she definitely gave you a hell of a pinch. If there wasn't any bad intent behind it, it's easy to forgive.

Anyway, I don't think you'll have any lasting issues from it.

It wasn't even about being malicious; she’s just plain, staggeringly stupid, and honestly, this isn't even the first time she's gone overboard like this.
I mean, it’s not like I’m in excruciating agony right now, but it definitely hurts when you press it, and I can feel this throbbing, pulsing sensation radiating through my face—just this constant, tight pounding that keeps popping up in waves. And yeah, assuming luck is on my side, nothing catastrophic is going to happen. But I’ve had friends grab me before and leave me covered in these green, yellow, and purple bruises, like five-centimeter blotches scattered all over, and trust me, nobody is enjoying that. Yesterday was just way too much, and frankly, this is officially the last time I let anyone try to "show me affection" in such a clumsy, painful way. I get this sudden, white-hot flash of rage when someone tries to force pain on me and won't let go while my skin is literally sizzling under their grip. I’m telling you, one of these days, I might actually lose it and deck someone right in the teeth. It takes a lot to really push my buttons, but right now, I’ve lost my cool and I'm genuinely pissed because I cannot wrap my head around how some total morons can be so incredibly oblivious and insensitive. They cross lines without even realizing it, inflicting pain that isn't just unpleasant—it can actually be physically harmful. Don't get me wrong, I know girls who will give you a huge hug or a playful squeeze or a little pinch out of pure love, but even then, they have the common sense to realize they could actually hurt you, and if they do go too far, they learn where the boundary is. This idiot clearly wouldn't listen to reason... maybe a kick to the head is the only language she understands. I can't even remember the last time I got this worked up, though it's happened before because of her. It's always that same tired garbage: "Oh, I'm a girl and you're a guy, so I can basically beat you up and you shouldn't care, don't be such a wimp." Like, seriously? JUST F*** OFF!

Look, I’ll forgive her whenever I feel like seeing her stupid face again in three months, but once I do, she’s definitely going to have to listen to what I have to say.
