Hey there,

Could I get a little help here? Honestly, I’m pretty much a total amateur when it comes to this kind of stuff.

So, I just finished installing Windows 7-icu 64, and now I can't get online for anything. From what I gathered while Googling, it looks like I’m missing some drivers.
The laptop itself is throwing an error saying it needs a driver for the "network adapter."

It's a Dell, i3, Intel 2.2 GHz, 4GB RAM, 1TB

I figured I should be able to find the right drivers on the Dell website, but I’ve been hunting around and just haven't had any luck finding them.

Any chance someone could point me in the right direction to find these drivers?

Thanks in advance!

So, I went ahead and grabbed the drivers from this site:

http://support.dell.com/us/en/downloads/ds028628

I’ve cycled through a few different versions now, but honestly, nothing seems to be working.
I'm starting to think I might have downloaded the wrong thing entirely, I guess.

By the way, is there some kind of specific way I need to enable the Wi-Fi on this laptop?
I mean, I see a physical button for turning it on or off, but no matter how many times I mash it, nothing changes.

It just keeps telling me, "No connections are available."

You're going to need some drivers for the Wi-Fi too... which Dell model are you running?

Give these a shot..

http://driverdl.lenovo.com.cn/lenovo...7_Wlan_x64.exe

or maybe

http://www.driverlenovo.com/lenovo-g...ows-7-drivers/

one of them has to work..

I'm assuming you've already done some digging yourself,

http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/prod...-g580-notebook

Oh, and right—you'll obviously need to make sure the Wi-Fi is actually toggled on via the hardware switch on the laptop; there's usually a little icon on one of those function keys, and you'll know it's active once the little light pops on..
