I was scrolling through some sports news earlier and realized just how fast certain niche athletics are blowing up. It feels like every time I look away, there’s a new professional circuit with its own internal rankings, MVP awards, and dedicated fanbases.
I remember back in the day, you really had to hunt for info on anything outside of the "Big Four" leagues. Now, you’ve got these hyper-specific professional tours popping up everywhere, and people are getting incredibly intense about the seasonal ballots and player stats. It's cool to see the growth, but sometimes I feel like I'm playing catch-up with a sport I didn't even know existed six months ago.
It makes me wonder about the longevity of these things. Do you think these smaller, specialized pro leagues are actually going to stick around and become mainstream, or is it just a massive wave of hype that'll burn out once the novelty wears off?
