Is basic decorum officially dead?

I feel like we’ve reached a point where even the most solemn ceremonies don't command any respect anymore. It’s getting harder to tell if people are actually present or just physically occupying space while their minds are elsewhere. Does anyone else feel like the concept of "showing up" for others is just disappearing?
