I was looking over my budget this morning and realized how much time I spend hunting for little digital scraps just to keep my workspace functional. It’s getting a bit ridiculous. I feel like I spend more time refreshing tabs and scanning through endless lists of promotional codes than actually getting my work done.
It used to be that you just walked into a store, bought what you needed, and moved on with your life. Now, if you don't spend twenty minutes playing "coupon roulette" before hitting the checkout button, you feel like you've been robbed. I’ve started feeling this weird sense of guilt every time I pay full price for basic supplies, like I'm failing at being a responsible adult just because I didn't find a hidden discount.
Does anyone else feel like the "optimization" culture is actually just adding more stress to our daily routines? Does it even feel like a win anymore when you finally find a code that actually works?
