I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how much we outsource our basic intuition to apps. Don't get me wrong, I love having my stats tracked, but there's something a bit unsettling about letting an algorithm dictate how my body should feel based on the weather or some data point I can't even see.

I remember training for my first half marathon a few years back. There were days when the air felt like soup and my lungs were burning, and I just had to learn to listen to that feeling and pull back. I had to develop a sense of "self-awareness" that you can't really get from a screen. It was a mental battle as much as a physical one.

Now, it feels like we're moving toward a world where the software makes those calls for us. It’s convenient, sure, but are we losing that gut instinct? If the app tells you you're good to go, but you feel like garbage, do you trust yourself or the code?

Does anyone else feel like we're losing our "feel" for the sport because we're constantly following a digital coach?
