Issues installing Windows XP

Hey everyone! A few days ago, I started trying to install Windows XP. Everything was going smoothly until I hit a random error. It prompted me to select a specific file from the Windows XP disc, but after messing around with it for a bit, I realized the disc isn't even spinning. For some reason, it just refuses to spin up at all. So, I'm officially stuck—what should I do? The disc simply won't spin.

What kind of error are we talking about? Was the CD drive even working before you tried this—meaning, could it actually read discs?

Yeah, it was working. Basically, this happens right when that loading screen pops up with all those status messages, like🙏setup will complete in approximately:39 minutes, and you see stuff in the middle like "work anytime, anywhere" or "Windows XP is great for..." and so on. Then it hits you with this: please insert the compact disc labeled Windows XP pro sp3 cd into your cd-rom drive e and then click ok. But there’s already a disc in there; I might even upload a video to show you what I mean.

So, which version of Windows XP are you actually trying to install—Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3?

Maybe something’s just acting up with that Windows XP installation disc, or perhaps the optical drive itself is starting to give out—like the laser might be getting weak. It might be worth trying a different version of the media to see if that fixes it.
