Issues with 25GB DVDs

Hey everyone... I’ve got a question and could really use some help here. A friend gave me this DVD with four 3D movies burned onto it. He used to watch them through a dedicated player, but the subtitles were always out of sync and driving him crazy. Now he wants to move the files onto a hard drive because he heard that plugging a drive directly into the TV works better. So, I popped the disc into my computer, but I’m hitting a total brick wall. I can't open anything. I can't see any files, check their size, or even get a glimpse of what's happening. The label on the disc says Maxell BD-R 25 Gb 1-4x speed, and this is the rig I'm running: http://www.igreklik.com/slike/images...9875779482.jpg

Is there any way at all to actually open this disc just to see what's inside? I'm not even trying to play the movies right now; I just want to see the file structure and hopefully copy the movies over to my PC.

It’s likely your DVD player just isn't picking up those discs—I'm assuming you're trying to play a Blu-ray rather than an actual DVD. A BD disc is specifically Blu-ray format.

If you want to get this working, you’re going to need a dedicated BluRay ROM optical drive that actually has the hardware support for those specific BD discs!
