A friend of mine—well, my girlfriend—is dealing with something concerning. Since her last period ended, she’s been experiencing unusual discharge. It’s quite heavy, 😁 and the color looks off. There’s also a distinct, unpleasant odor that's becoming noticeable through her clothes.

Could anyone please offer some advice on this?

Can anyone offer some advice? Please.

Yeah... tell her to see a doctor. ☕

Nancy Cruz3 said:Yeah... she should probably see a doctor. ☕

She hasn't actually gone yet. Her main worry is that if she goes now, her mother might find out about her past, causing a huge scene, only for the doctor to tell her everything is perfectly normal. I’m just asking if any other girls have dealt with this kind of anxiety.

I was thinking the exact same thing—that she needs to see a doctor. 🙂

I’m thinking—if she goes and her mom finds out she isn't a virgin, creates a huge scene, and then the OB-GYN just says "it's fine, you'll get over it"... that's why I'm asking if any girls have had similar experiences.

If I were in her shoes, I'd know exactly what to say to the doctor myself. 🙂

Ahem—first off, my apologies, I was being rude.

Look, if you actually read my previous post—though I'm not sure if anyone here is actually qualified to give constructive advice—the smartest move is simply to see an OB-GYN. Seek professional help.

And how would her mother even find out she isn't a virgin? She can go to the doctor herself... or better yet, you could just drive her there.

No offense intended, but what is even going on with these stories? 🙄
It’s almost exhausting trying to follow this logic. 🙄

She should just go see a gynecologist right away. She doesn't need her mom to go along; she can go by herself, and then nobody else ever has to know. 🙄

And based on how she described it, it sounds like a classic case of a simple discharge issue.

The point I was trying to make—though I'm not sure if it came across clearly—is that there might not be enough expertise here to offer actual constructive advice. The smartest move is to see a gynecologist. Seek out professional medical help.

As for how her mother would know she isn't a virgin anymore? Let her visit the doctor herself... or better yet, you should go with her.

Look, I’m telling you, it's fine. I just thought asking here might reach someone with more experience. It's okay. 👍 Thanks for the help. 👍 I figured since this is mostly women, someone here might have dealt with this and could offer some insight.

Mom doesn't need to know anything. Just let her go to the doctor.

And by the way, what you're calling a "menstrual cycle" is actually menstruation. 🙂 The cycle is the whole period from the first day of one to the first day of the next. That's why it's called a cycle. 🤣

Honestly, if we could just use some common sense here at the clinic to figure out what she’s dealing with, maybe she wouldn't have to deal with the hassle of a specialist appointment in the first place... ☕

Look, we’ve seen this all before. 😁

Thank God we have forums now. Back in my day, 🤣 people would write to Dear Abby in *Seventeen* magazine asking stuff like, "Dear Abby, I've got this weird discharge, help!" without wanting to go to a doctor. By the time they actually got an answer—if she even addressed their specific letter in the next issue—it was way too late.

It was always like, "Dear Abby, I've got this weird discharge thing going on, please don't just tell me to see a doctor." By the time they actually answered the letter in the next issue... well, you get the idea.

🤣🤣

Maybe she's just dealing with a yeast infection? 😕 🤷
If that's what it is, it’s really no big deal.
She just needs to hit up her OB-GYN, get some cream, and she'll be fine in a few days.👍
The only weird part is that it's soaking through her clothes too.😕 😕
Anyway—don't mess around... she should definitely call the doctor first thing Monday morning.😉

You know the type: "Dear Abby, I have this weird discharge, please, please don't just tell me to see a doctor." By the time she actually answered the letter in a future issue—assuming she even addressed the specific question—it was practically ancient history...

😂😂😂
or when they say, "I just hope my letter doesn't end up in the trash can" 🤣

Back on topic: The only real solution is for her to actually go see a gynecologist; we aren't doctors, and there's nothing we can do to help here.

It’s all good 👍 thanks for the help 👍 I just assumed since this is mostly women, someone here might have dealt with this specific thing before and could give me a heads-up on what to expect

Well, yeah—there are plenty of smart women on this forum who realize that seeing a gynecologist is just a standard part of life.

So, do you actually go to the dentist when your tooth starts acting up? 🙄 🙄

coastalotter83 said:it’s got this weird color...
(there's a strange taste too 😁 ) ..
and a weird smell

Can anyone please give me some advice here?

It is high time you started taking care of yourself instead of just sitting there poking at it until you figure out what's wrong. 😉
