Hey everyone,

I’ve run into a bit of a situation lately, and honestly, I’m feeling pretty lost on how to handle it. My mother was hospitalized for about a week, and after running some tests, they diagnosed her with Muller's mixed-type tumor. It’s apparently already metastasized to one spot on her pelvis.
The doctors told us the tumor is inoperable, and now they're basically just discharging her to go home.

I guess I’m just wondering if there’s anyone out there I could reach out to—someone who might offer actual treatment options or at least try to take a crack at something?

If you have any suggestions at all, I’d really appreciate them.

Best,
D

If I'm not mistaken, we're looking at a type of sarcoma derived from breast cells. Unfortunately, because this specific kind of tumor grows so aggressively, surgery is usually the only real play.
In the US, you'd find specialists for sarcomas at major hubs like Mayo Clinic or MD Anderson, whereas here, you're often stuck with just a couple of experts at places like Johns Hopkins or Cleveland Clinic—specifically Dr. Herzog and Dr. Shante. I don't know which facility handled her initial pathology, but when it comes to these niche sarcomas, local pathologists often lack the specialized equipment or the deep expertise needed for such complex typing. It would be wise to get the hospital to release her tissue samples via a formal transfer so you can send them off to a dedicated sarcoma center for proper staging and typing.
Gather all her medical records and demand a second opinion, but try to verify that initial pathology report first. If you hit a wall, reach out to me.
