A buddy handed me this flashlight to fix up; it’s supposed to run on three AAA batteries, but when I tightened the casing, I heard a distinct little snap inside, and now it won't turn on at all. I've gone ahead and disassembled the whole thing, and honestly, everything looks perfectly intact—nothing seems broken or stripped. When I bypass the switch and bridge the connection directly, the LEDs light right up, and I've already tested a replacement switch which didn't solve the problem either. It feels like there's some glitchy circuitry deep in the guts of the device that I just don't have the expertise to troubleshoot, so I'm hunting for a technician who can tell me if this is salvageable or just junk. If anyone out there knows their way around hardware, I’d be incredibly grateful to find a kind soul from NASA who might be able to take a look at it. My neighbor used to be the local go-to for fixing TVs and all those little electronic gadgets, but sadly, he passed away just last week 😢, and now I'm left without a single person I can trust to handle something like this...
