Issues with my earrings

For the past year, I’ve been dealing with this constant issue where my ears get super red and painful whenever I put on earrings.😢
Is there anything out there—maybe some specific creams or treatments—that could help me fix this?
Ladies, please help me out!
I will be absolutely devastated if I have to tuck my entire, long-awaited collection away in a drawer forever.😢

Pick up some Byvan cream at the pharmacy, and before you put the tweezers in your ear, just coat them in the cream... trust me, it makes a huge difference. I dealt with a similar issue myself, and thank God, everything is perfectly fine now.

It’s entirely possible you’re just having an allergic reaction to costume jewelry. That doesn't mean you have to give up the look entirely, though. Just grab some earrings made from a metal you aren't sensitive to and swap them out.

I only run into this issue with gold jewelry. I’ve found the best fix is just not wearing my gold earrings at all. My fingers swell up from gold rings too, so I’ve given those up as well. As for necklaces, I won't even attempt it; God knows what would happen.

Look, I’ve dealt with my fair share of issues regarding costume jewelry (though not with every single pair of earrings I own)... typically, it happens once that part that actually goes through the ear starts getting a bit tarnished or discolored. When that happens, I try cleaning them first with some lemon juice, then moving on to rubbing alcohol, and every single time before I put them back in, I make sure to coat that specific part with a protective ointment.👍

I’m going to try disinfecting them before every single use. I’ve already tried using some heavy-duty cleanser for that purpose, but honestly? It didn't do a thing. 😢

I can only wear pure gold; anything else just causes me issues. But if I absolutely need to wear something else for a little while, I just toss the earring into a shot glass filled with some bourbon, let it sit, and then put it on. No reaction at all.

I went through a similar phase once where I had issues with gold, silver, and even costume jewelry. Luckily, it just cleared up on its own. I guess the trick was simply avoiding anything containing nickel.
