I’m looking for some advice regarding my HP Envy series printer. No matter how I tweak the settings—specifically under Speed&Progress—whenever I try to run a print job through the multimeter mask, the progress window just stays completely blank. Is there any logical reason why this would happen? I've already made sure I'm running the latest drivers from the manufacturer's site. The only major change I've made to my setup was swapping out my graphics card, after which I installed all the new software and updated everything to the latest versions. Since the rest of the hardware seems to be communicating fine between the PC and the printer, is it actually possible that the new GPU is what's causing the print progress display to vanish? For context, I'm running Windows 7 32-bit, x86. If it helps anyone troubleshooting, the specs are IE11, 3.2GB of RAM, and a 3.20 GHz Dual-core CPU. Thanks in advance for any help you can give, 🙂image

Just try the drivers from the CD and see if that works.

I really appreciate the help and the advice, hollowmarlin27. I'll give it a shot and try running the drivers from the CD, but could you clarify one thing for me? Are you talking about the disc that came with the printer or the one for the graphics card? Sorry if I'm being a bit pedantic here, I just want to make sure I don't mess anything up... Hope you have a great weekend, Brandon Ross5. 😵

The printer one.

It’s pretty easy to have some kind of system reset where Windows 7 just automatically installs its own stripped-down version without the actual STATUS Monitor software included.

Especially if you're running some bootleg version of Windows.

It’s entirely possible you experienced some kind of system reset where Windows 7 just went ahead and installed its own stripped-down version of everything, completely bypassing the STATUS Monitor3 software.

That’s especially likely if you happen to be running a bootleg version of Windows.

Good afternoon... I was "out of office" for the weekend. I took your advice and uninstalled the printer from my PC entirely. I then used the original CD to reinstall it, which should have brought back the old drivers from the disc, but honestly, nothing changed. I'm starting to think the issue actually lies with my graphics card... why this happened is probably something I'll never truly wrap my head around. The reality is that right up until I swapped out the video card, that window stayed active... it only "disappeared" after the hardware change. This whole thing is a bit too technical for me to fully grasp. Everything else seems to be functioning exactly as it did before, so I suppose things are fine, aside from that unfortunate little progress window. Thanks so much for all the effort and help you've put in. Best regards. ☕
