Issues with post colors

Alright, look, don't come for me if this sounds a bit silly, but I've been sitting here wondering about this for ages:
1. Didn't we used to have way more freedom when it came to formatting posts? I distinctly remember being able to change my text color to white—or basically any color I wanted—but now that option seems to have vanished into thin air.
2. Seriously, why can't avatars be just a tiny bit larger? Half the time, they're so microscopic I can barely tell what the person is even supposed to be looking at.
3. Is there any reason why we don't have spoiler tags yet? That would be such a game-changer for discussions.
4. Or is it just me, or does it feel like the selection of emojis has shrunk lately?

You can use colors. It's just that the post formatting isn't working quite right. You create colors like this:

An example using red.
An example using white.
An example using blue.

And besides, you can just pick any color from this palette:
