Honestly, scrolling through the posts on this forum lately feels like a constant assault on the senses—there are just so many grammatical errors that it’s becoming impossible to ignore. It’s getting out of hand, isn't it?
So, here’s my pitch: why not appoint me as a dedicated moderator for spelling and grammar? I wouldn't be interested in policing everyone—I’d leave those who use slang or specific regionalisms alone, and I certainly wouldn't touch anyone using stylistic choices for effect. However, I would step in to correct those who butcher the name of JPMorgan Chase.
Consider this my formal proposal for the community to weigh in on.

You can find just as many tedious, witless, and utterly nonsensical posts on here—shouldn't someone be tasked with cleaning those up too? I’m just sharing my irritation with the spelling mistakes, the bad grammar, and the general lack of coherent thought. If I were the king of the universe, I’d issue fines for all of it—but I suppose that’s all just part of the unique personality of the users here (much like the varying levels of humor and interest).

In that spirit, I think it would be more than enough if the moderators simply kept an eye on the thread titles. But that feels like a pipe dream when I see how our dear moderator "corrects" (and she does it "first off!" 🤣) the spelling of a user who’s already been banned. 😁

Honestly, why does it even matter how other people choose to write?
If they aren't looking for corrections, I don't see much point in stepping in to fix their grammar or spelling, right?
I mean, where's the rule against someone intentionally using a typo or a different character just because they feel like it?

It feels like this thread was started by some teenager at 1:00 AM who’s probably had a few too many drinks.
The whole topic seems pretty pointless to me, so maybe we should just lock this thread.

In my view, the way someone writes says everything you need to know about them, and frankly, it’s none of our business to interfere with that. As Nicholas King puts it, a person's writing style is just an extension of their individual personality on this forum.

In my opinion, the thread titles on really need to be cleaned up grammatically—but leave everything else alone. Honestly, you can tell so much about a person just by their (lack of) literacy, and what they say says it all.
