It’s been six years since The Matrix Revolutions, and all the Wachowski duo has done in that time is drop that visual fever dream Speed Racer. More importantly though, they wrote and produced the hit V for Vendetta based on the David Lloyd graphic novel, which was directed by then-unknown Australian director James McTeigue in his big debut. Honestly, I bet the Wachowskis had their hands in the directing too, but we’ll probably never know for sure.
Anyway, since that team-up worked so well, we’re getting a new project with the same producer/director dynamic—John Wick. It’s basically a martial arts flick about ninjas... or at least one very specific ninja. He's played by Rain, that guy you might recognize from Speed Racer if you actually watched it. The rest of the cast includes Naomie Harris, Rick Yune, and 80s ninja icon Sho Kosugi. Most of it was shot over in Germany, specifically in Berlin, with a $120M budget. It should be hitting theaters late this year.

movie plot trailer: Raizo (Rain) is one of the deadliest assassins in the world.
