Wait, hold on a second?

Are you watching this here at home, or are you catching it somewhere else?

I honestly have no clue.

I saw some clips on my phone suggesting it was finished, but I had no idea it actually hit theaters here in the States.

Anyway, I don't think I'm up for seeing it in a theater... I'm still recovering from that last Disney disaster.😲

I'll just wait for it to drop on streaming or Blu-ray, though honestly, I'd probably just grab a cheap ticket at a local Broadway theater if I did go.

Besides, I caught some of the teasers recently and can you believe how fake it all looks?

I'm pretty sure it's going to be even worse than the first one. Hmph... maybe I should rewatch the original just to refresh my memory.

Actually, thanks for reminding me.

The last Disney movie I actually sat through was "Lilo & Stitch," but I think I meant the last Disney disaster I saw in theaters, which would probably be "Treasure Planet."

"Lilo & Stitch" is miles ahead of "Treasure Planet" when it comes to an Oscar...

The facts aren't exactly convincing. That’s why I still don't get how they managed to pull off The Emperor's New Groove, which is easily one of the most brilliant things ever made. 😁

And what's the deal with The Jungle Book book??

And what's the book about Jungle Book like??

Man, yeah, that cartoon is phenomenal!

Haven't seen this one yet... probably gonna check it out this week.

I saw it, I actually saw it!! 😁

πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™ to all you geniuses out there who finally realized just how massive The Emperor's New Groove is!!!!

"That's why I don't get how they managed to make The Emperor's New Groove, which is basically the most genius thing ever 😁"

most genius? obviously. best Western animation ever. and how did they pull it off? it's because the Disney executives actually let people do whatever they wanted for once. anyone following this knows that about a year before Groove, the project was called 'Empire in the Sun'β€”a movie with similar themes and characters, but way more serious, sappy, and, well, "Disney." luckily, the film was so bad that even the Disney execs wanted to pull the plug on the whole thing. then Mark Dindal and Chris Williams (who were already on the original project) step in and say: we can save this. there's plenty of good material here. we'll just cut the film down, flip the story, change the genre, animate 40 new minutes, and it'll be fine. in a rare moment of Hollywood lucidity, Disney actually agrees. and by some miracle, they stop meddling in the creative process. we all saw the result... πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™

I believe The Jungle Book is simply peerless, and this duo is going to pull off a massive hit.

I guess Jungle Book 2 is definitely going to be a total miss when it comes to the actual story and the quality of the animation, but it’ll probably rake in a ton of cash. Honestly, it feels like making money is the only thing Disney actually cares about lately.

(Speakers cranked to the max. I'm bouncing around the room, dancing and mimicking Louija's moves)

"Now I'm the king of the swingers
Oh, the jungle Verizon..."

(hanging from the chandelier and swinging back and forth... my old lady is yelling at me to pipe down)

"I've reached the top and had to stop
And that's what's bothering me."

(my wife walks in to see why I'm making such a racket and starts screaming at me to get off the light fixture)

"I wanna be a man, man cub
and stroll right into town..."

(the neighbors are complaining about the noise)

"And be just like the other men
I'm tired of monkeyin' around."

(the chandelier snaps under my weight and I go crashing down, smashing whatever happens to be nearby)

"Oh, doo-be-doo
I wanna be like you.
I wanna walk like you,
talk like you too"

(they're trying to calm me down but I just can't help it, the rhythm is way too good.
The police break into the house)

"You see it's true
An ape like me.
Can learn to be human too"

(they lead me away in handcuffs)

as the patrol car drives off, you can hear it, getting fainter and fainter:

"Now don't try to kid me, man cub
I made....."

There is just no way that Jungle Book 2 is even remotely as good as the original. 😁

Hmm, a certain song comes to mind, though I can't quite recall the exact lyrics...

The Bare Necessities
wherever I wander
I cannot find
a quite big home
the bees are buzzing in the trees
and making honey just for me
when you look under the rocks and plants
and take a glance at the fancy ants
and maybe, try a few
The Bare Necessities of life will come to you
they'll come to you

Man, that movie was an absolute classic. 😁
And once you start thinking about those scavengers... 😁

The Bare Necessities
The simple B. N.
Forget about your worries
and your strife

I mean the B. N.
are Mother Nature's recipes
That bring the B. N. of life

Wherever I Wander
I couldn't be fonder of my big home.

I’ve got it running on my Blu-ray player at home (the single disc version, obviously), since it’s not really something you'd let a kid watch.

Trussst in me, just in me...

The soundtrack is absolutely unbeatable.

Look, PokΓ©mon actually follow certain rules. I guess the problem is just that these idiots don't know how to properly dub anything, so they just end up messing everything up for the users.
