Keeps asking me to install Java?

So, I’ve been messing around with this online card game website, and it keeps nagging me to install Java. I go ahead and run the installer, thinking that'll be the end of it, but the site just keeps asking for the exact same thing over and over again—it’s a bit of a loop, really. Even though I’m pretty sure I have the latest version sitting right there on my machine, the site acts like it doesn't exist.
Does anyone happen to know how to actually get past this glitch?

Which site are we talking about here? It might be looking for a specific legacy version or something...

Maybe try using the official Java removal tool to wipe it clean first—then just give your computer a quick restart before you attempt the reinstall.

Try uninstalling Java entirely and then doing a clean reinstall from scratch
Also, just a heads-up—be careful because there are tons of sketchy sites out there claiming to offer Java downloads, and you could easily end up picking up some nasty virus or malware instead
