Lab results

So, I need to drop off a stool sample at the lab, but given how unpredictable my digestion has been lately, I can't exactly rely on a morning routine. Does anyone know the window for how old a sample can be? I tried calling my doctors, but they’re impossible to reach and live way too far out in the suburbs for a quick trip.

Just like urine, you gotta get that stool sample to the lab within 2 hours. Otherwise, stick it in the fridge at maybe 40°F, but definitely don't leave it longer than 24 hours.

Depends on what test they're running. For some stuff, you could probably wait until your next haircut! 👋
