Greetings, everyone.
The machine in question is a Toshiba Satellite L775-134.
CPU: Intel Core i3-2310M
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M
RAM: 4GB
I recently gave this laptop a much-needed deep clean to blow out all the accumulated dust—it was getting pretty bad. Following that, I swapped out the old HDD for an SSD and performed a fresh installation of Windows 10. Now, however, I’m running into constant system crashes whenever I attempt to play games.
The titles aren't anything particularly demanding; I mostly stick to emulators like BlueStacks or various indie games found online.
I ran a Prime95 stress test for about 20 minutes to see what would happen. Interestingly, the system remains perfectly stable if I simply leave it idling. But the moment I interact with the hardware—say, by tweaking settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel or even just opening an in-game menu—everything goes south and the system crashes.
What do you think the best course of action is here? Is it worth my time to repaste the CPU, or am I looking at a different kind of issue entirely?
Thanks,
