Good day.

Please stop moving this thread just because you don't like the title. I’m not complaining about anything; I simply have questions regarding how the forum's "rules and points" system actually functions.

I have a few specific questions:
  • If someone reaches 100 points and receives a Ban, do they keep those points once the suspension ends?
What if my points drop to 100 after a penalty, but then I earn more—does that prevent another Ban? It should work that way...
  • Suppose I hit 100 points, serve my Ban, the infraction expires, and my score drops to 90. If I earn 10 more points to get back to 100, does that trigger another Ban immediately?
  • Where can we check our current point totals and see our active infractions?
  • What exactly constitutes a yellow card? Is it just a warning? Can you hold points while on a yellow card?
  • A Ban for hitting 100 points lasts 3 days. If an infraction expires during those 3 days, does the Ban stay in effect? I assume it works like standard vBulletin, but is it the same here?
  • Are private messages still functional while under a Ban?

Thanks in advance. 🙂

Thomas Martinez9 said:Hey there.

Look, can we please stop moving my threads just because of the title? I'm not complaining or anything, I just have some questions about how this whole site actually works.

I've got a few things on my mind:
  • Like, if I have 100 points and get a ban, do I still keep those points once the ban is over?
And what if I gain more points but then they drop back down to 100—does that trigger another ban? That shouldn't happen...
  • Also, if I hit 100 points, the ban expires, the infraction clears, and I drop to say, 90 points, then I gain 10 more—am I banned again immediately?
  • How do I even check my current infractions and see what kind of strikes I have?
  • What's the deal with a yellow card? It's just a warning, right? You don't get points for a yellow card?
  • A ban lasts 3 days once you hit 100 points... If an old infraction expires while I'm currently serving a ban, does the ban stay active? I think that's how vBulletin usually handles it, but is it the same here?
  • Can you still send private messages while you're banned?

Thanks in advance 🙂

1. Yeah, infractions usually stick around for a month or even longer.
2. Nope.
3. Yeah, you get banned again. This has happened to me plenty of times—I'll finish my ban, feel fine for a couple of hours, and then boom, I'm locked out again (some mods are way too quick to jump on my neck whenever they see my username 🙄).
4. Just go to your settings; you'll find the Latest Infractions Received
there. 5. Yellow cards don't carry points. It's just a heads-up since the next one is a red card.
6. Yeah, if an old strike expires while you're already serving a ban, you're stuck until the current ban period is officially over.
7. No, you can't send PMs or post anything on the boards while you're banned.

Look, I get it, you could always just face a ban 😁 but there’s a specific section for handling those 😂

On another note, can you actually receive private messages while you're under a ban?

Thanks for the help. Is this based on actual experience? Because looking at your location and the way you replied, it seems like you spend a lot of time in that situation 😂

No, you can't.

Here I am again... You can't just ignore a user or a moderator without providing some kind of explanation, right?

Regardless, thanks for the answers so far. You've been helpful.
