I am not entirely certain if you grasped my point..

To be clear, who exactly have I offended?

This particular post serves as a commendation for ruku_slave, who remains one of the few truly intelligent individuals on this forum.
The thread itself illustrates how certain people have essentially dismantled their own credibility through sheer stupidity and nonsense once they realized—in small groups, mind you—that they haven't the slightest clue what they are discussing.
I merely offered them a subtle pointer toward the roots of their ignorance, given that they persistently return to the scene of the crime.

Furthermore, they have demonstrated exactly what they are made of, and experience has taught me that one ought to speak the truth. To use a figure of speech—though it's more of a hyperbole than a parable at this point—if we were to routinely inform idiots that they are, in fact, idiots, the world would be a far better place; they might finally realize they aren't shielded from reality. Believe me on that; I have extensive experience in the matter.

Every single one of their entries is nothing more than trolling, yet you have failed to sanction a single one of them, while you saw fit to penalize my input, which was entirely unnecessary. I write exclusively regarding the subject matter and actual knowledge, not "opinions."
Given that their lack of intellect is glaringly obvious—one boasts about being "deep peopleing" while the other treats it like a professional title—you must consider the level of communication required. I am forced to descend to their level, or perhaps slightly above it, just to explain concepts they should have mastered decades ago in a standard American public school rather than a specialized technical institute.
It is quite remarkable how effectively I manage to frustrate them every single time. It is common knowledge...
unknown, even a self-proclaimed "expert" doesn't understand Ohm's Law (the triangle method). 🤦

My grievance lies not with the warning or the ban itself, but with the lack of moderation and discretion shown by the staff.

I’m not sure if you’ve even checked in since your ban was lifted, but the reasoning back then was pretty clear: your record hit the limit because you spent about thirty different threads calling people idiots or claiming they just bought their degrees from John Smith. You really need to drop that act...
As for trolling others, I haven't seen much of it, other than people simply standing their ground on their own opinions.

Regarding everything else, look, every sub-forum here is basically its own little universe with its own set of internal rules. Someone posting the kind of stuff you see over at Alternative Everywhere would probably get banned for life. People over at Alternative are allowed to believe that Tesla was shooting lightning bolts out of his hands if that's what they want. Just because there are some heavy, serious discussions happening over there doesn't mean we won't let someone let their imagination run wild every now and then. The only exceptions are specific discussions that could actually pose a risk to public health. That’s the policy for now, and if we ever feel the need to change it, we will...
If you’re looking for a truly rigorous debate, you should check out the natural science a few topics about tesla section.

I suggest you refrain from doing that moving forward.
As far as trolling goes, I haven't noticed any; people are simply holding their ground.

Regarding everything else, every sub-forum here acts as its own little universe with its own internal set of rules. Someone posting what they write on Alternative Elsewhere would likely be banned here. On Alternative Elsewhere, people are entitled to believe Nikola Tesla was shooting lightning bolts from his hands. Just because there are some serious discussions happening over there doesn't mean we allow people to let their imaginations run completely wild. We do make exceptions for discussions that could actually pose a risk to public health. That is the current policy, and if circumstances demand a change, it will happen.
If you are looking for truly rigorous debate, you can find several threads regarding Tesla over in Natural Science.

🕺 and I was banned there because I crossed an assistant moderator who apparently cannot tolerate actual knowledge...

Criticizing scientists—specifically the "new Tesla," Soljačić from MIT—was apparently too much for him to handle. However, I take a certain moral satisfaction in seeing that he also received a strike, which sets a precedent... truly commendable.
All I did was prove (and time will bear this out) how easily that professor is swayed by money and lacks adequate expertise... (we won't dwell on matters of morality or politeness, will we? It isn't particularly polite to point out when someone is treating you like a fool while you simultaneously applaud them)

It is quite educational to observe how both the serious types and the incompetent operate during a legitimate debate...

Without Alternative, science itself wouldn't exist, yet some view Alternative as a complete eyesore. It is an eyesore because quality discussion is stifled by contrarians like Alatnicar, and instead, we get people like Aaron Baker7... I haven't encountered such an ignoramus in a long time. You seem to think the folks on Alternative aren't serious, yet in the Natural Science section of this forum, you won't find a single person who understands electrical engineering. Most are at a high school sophomore level... we could engage in very serious discourse, but then again, who would bother reading it?

I don't read, nor do I appeal, because there is no point; the moderation tends to protect idiocy even when it is proven to the finest detail that their interlocutor is an idiot. There is a difference between defending a position and demonstrating a level of knowledge, so your "test" is biased and therefore flawed. I accept the strike and the ban without protest... but individuals like this should be isolated, because as someone once put it, they are just pure nonsense. Look at the amount of time invested in writing versus the time spent on "research for proof"... it is perfectly clear to me that Tesla is a fabrication and a hoax.

You may find it difficult to accept that this does not affect me... but I do not write for myself; I write for "others." This uneducated individual is merely demonstrating his own limitations. Furthermore, others are not required to possess specialized knowledge, as evidenced by this thread... is that clear enough for you? Perhaps two people are correct.

The fundamental issue here isn't even about exercising the right to ban someone—it wouldn't be my first move on this forum—but rather that everything I have posited has proven itself to be undeniably true, yet the moderators continue to shield the uneducated types who clutter this thread with mere assertions rather than actual arguments, which is a distinction any reasonable person would acknowledge. This particular individual possesses zero understanding of the subject matter or basic electrical principles, yet he persists with his idiocy... which can lead to fatal consequences. Unfortunately, due to the relentless process of negative selection, such people are consistently promoted "upward" so they don't bother those of us actually doing the work... leaving us to deal with these "giants" of incompetence.

If this person holds any sort of degree, I am certain it was bought and paid for...

People simply gravitate toward nonsense over expertise or critical thought. A forum should serve as a beacon of enlightenment, regardless of how much entertainment value it provides.

But thank you for your time; I appreciate that the moderator carved out a moment for me.

I haven't run into such an ignoramus in quite a while. You seem to think the folks over at Alternative aren't serious, yet on the PZ section of the forum, there isn't a single soul who actually understands electrical engineering. Most probably have about a freshman year of high school physics under their belts... we could write very profound things here, but then again, who would bother reading them?

Oh, so I'm the ignorant one?? Ha-ha-ha. 😂

And you—who persistently drags Nikola Tesla through the mud and attacks anyone who dares suggest otherwise—that is, anyone pointing out that Nikola Tesla was a brilliant mind and a phenomenal innovator—you just keep trying to weave falsehoods and sneakily insult people "with gloves on." For me, electrical engineering is my profession; I’ve worked on some incredibly difficult projects, believe me, and I don't mean to brag, but I possess a certain level of expertise in specific areas of electrical engineering (especially electroacoustics) where many people with even higher degrees would likely stumble. And frankly, I certainly won't have someone like you telling me what I do or don't know, because, to be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about your opinion.

But I stepped away from that topic because it felt pointless—there's just no sense in trading barbs with someone who narcissistically believes they know everything and considers themselves a greater intellect than Nikola Tesla himself. Some people pointed out to you that this behavior is senseless and frankly shameful (since you go as far as claiming Nikola Tesla was a nobody or a fraud... etc.), but you just keep doing the same thing...

The moderators are being far too lenient, honestly, considering how obvious your trolling is...

Best regards.

Since I have already pointed out that you clearly lack even a basic grasp of the subject matter—attempting to "estimate" established facts rather than actually understanding them, much like how you demonstrated your total ignorance of Ohm's Law—it wasn't difficult to reach a conclusion. Everything you write serves only to prove one thing: theoretically and practically, you represent nothing more than a null signal on a correlation meter during a mix. If we are talking about an analog setup, you’re essentially slamming the meter hard to the left.
That is a spectacular success.
You have a thread over there where you haven't actually contributed a single substantive thought; you've done nothing but voice your disagreement with the claims being made.
I don't doubt for a second that your presence—specifically the chaos caused by your arrival and subsequent departure—has left its mark on projects plagued by recurring issues. Perhaps if you looked back at those old files from nearly two decades ago, which you worked so diligently to acquire, they might actually challenge your current claim of being some kind of industry prodigy. That is simply my impression. Aaron Baker7 You are moving in the complete opposite direction, and frankly, you are doing immense damage to this discussion. Because of your constant insistence on spreading such blatant inaccuracy, the topic is being stifled and prevented from actually evolving. Regardless, I suppose I have no choice but to step in and clarify the most elementary concepts over there... since your mental imagery seems to be so perpetually clouded.

A bit of color, I suppose.
The upper image displays an algorithmic software designed specifically for audio purification during the restoration and digitization process; the lower image features a standard audio editor utilized for stereo mastering.

Look, why don't you try actually contributing something substantive to the topic? You have already demonstrated quite enough of your supposed "expertise."

I I mean, how does this post even relate to anything we're talking about?? You included a screenshot of Steinberg WaveLab down there—I work with software like that on a daily basis and I know my way around them quite well, so you can pretty much dismiss your claim that I'm some kind of amateur. I suppose if your only response to anyone disagreeing with your opinion is to label them an idiot, then maybe you're the one who doesn't actually know what they're talking about.

Look, man, just let me be and maybe focus on improving yourself instead...

Best,

Aaron Baker7 said:And how exactly does this post of yours relate to anything at all? You went ahead and included an image of Steinberg WaveLab below. I work with software like that on a daily basis and possess a comprehensive understanding of them; therefore, your assertion that I am ignorant is entirely baseless. I would have simply characterized you as being profoundly ill-informed if your primary method of debate was labeling everyone who disagrees with your perspective as an ignoramus.

Come on, man. Pull yourself together, look in the mirror, and start putting in the work.

Present.

Your usual mantra... perhaps it is time you applied those very principles to yourself. 🙂

I find myself once again contemplating the inevitable decline of modern production standards. It is truly exhausting to witness how quickly the industry moves toward mediocrety. There is an undeniable, albeit fading, sense of craftsmanship that used to define our field, but now? It feels as though everyone is simply chasing the next shiny object without any regard for fundamental principles. Regarding the technical discussion at hand, I have observed several individuals attempting to justify subpar workflows by citing "efficiency." Efficiency is often just a polite euphemism for laziness. If one cannot achieve a result through proper technique, calling it a streamlined process is nothing more than a delusion. I must also address the comments made by Jerry Robinson56. While his perspective is noted, it lacks the necessary depth required to actually solve the systemic issues we are facing. It is easy to offer superficial critiques, but much harder to implement meaningful change. Furthermore, I find the recent assertions from Aaron Baker7 to be equally unconvincing. One would hope for a bit more rigor in these discussions, yet here we are. We should be focusing on the core tenets of Natural Science as they apply to acoustics, rather than getting bogged down in the trivialities of software plugins that promise miracles but deliver only clutter. If you want quality, you need discipline. Anything less is just noise.

The confirmation that an idiot is indeed an idiot arrives the moment they decide to go public with their incompetence. Furthermore, they insist on disputing technical fundamentals that are widely accepted as fact.
I provide links and logical explanations; they offer nothing but empty rhetoric devoid of any actual argument. It is a tragedy, really, that they lack the capacity to grasp the sheer amount of damage they cause through their own incompetence—an incompetence you, quite frankly, continue to promote.
Don't trouble yourself; you aren't exactly part of the ignorant crowd. You simply possess a consistent inability to grasp even the very points where you are wrong.

In terms of audio technology, you are lagging behind by at least nineteen years. If you haven't bothered to read the post above, you are clearly out of touch with the current state of the industry.
I made the decision to pay full price for these programs rather than squandering my money on overpriced degrees like some other people I know. It’s a far more practical investment. Honestly, even a seven-year-old could master them; the interface is incredibly user-friendly.
Given the nature of my profession, I tend to clear away whatever is no longer serving its purpose.
It is much the same on the highway as it is here.

This guy honestly thinks that just because he’s acting like some big-shot expert on history, he can go around peddling his little manifestos everywhere else and just mindlessly drone on about his half-baked theories... good luck to him, I guess, but he's getting nothing but total silence from me.

The inconvenient truth is that the facts are ... and they are incredibly easy to verify. So, there’s no need for jealousy. If I were running the moderation over there, I’d have wiped the floor with all of you for the sheer amount of falsehoods being peddled. There is a massive distinction between presenting an opinion and stating something as absolute fact without a shred of evidence.
I suggest you head back to that thread and actually read what’s being discussed and who is truly "offending" whom. It is a complete waste of time to involve other moderators here; certain slogans aren't just casual greetings—they serve as a direct signal of intent. Engineering and history are precise, objective disciplines. They can be checked.
It’s the same story in the history forums as it is here: we are dealing with a cult of personality surrounding someone who possessed zero actual value. What most people perceive as a major issue is really just the result of being an uneducated follower.
Whether it's Hicho or Antiša... or even our very own Nikola Tesla, who was quite skilled at selling ice to Eskimos. The same pattern repeats itself with those who twist the truth...

It’s essentially a confirmation that the ignorant reveal themselves whenever they go public with their lack of knowledge—especially when they try to dispute basic technical facts.
They provide links and explanations to counter their own empty words and lack of actual arguments. It’s quite a tragedy, really, that they aren't even capable of realizing how much damage they cause through the very incompetence you seem to be promoting.
But don't worry, you aren't part of that group of ignoramuses; you just consistently fail to grasp even the things you're wrong about.

And regarding audio, you're nineteen years behind the times—if you actually bothered to read the post above, that is.
I’d gladly pay for those programs instead of paying for degrees like some people do... besides, a seven-year-old could probably figure out how to use them; they’re incredibly user-friendly...
Given the nature of my work, I tend to clean up whatever isn't working properly.
Whether it's on the road or right here, it's the same deal.

You’re talking nonsense again. On what grounds am I "nineteen years behind" in audio?? Ha-ha-ha, give me a break. I already told you, and I won't repeat myself: those programs you mentioned—I can tear through them like a kid playing with blocks. I work in Cubase, Nuend, and a whole host of other software whenever I'm recording or producing, not to mention using professional VST plugins... I handle hardware too, not just software.

Anyway, let's just drop this. I finished dealing with you back during that discussion about Nikola Tesla, because once I saw exactly who—and what kind of "expert"—I was dealing with, I realized it's better to do something productive than to keep bickering here.

Best regards.

Aaron Baker7 said:You’re talking nonsense again. What do you mean I’ve fallen behind in audio by 19 years? Ha-ha-ha, give me a break. I told you once and I won't repeat myself: I can tear through those programs you mentioned like a child playing with blocks. I work in Cubase, Nuend, and plenty of other software when I'm recording or producing, not to mention using professional VST plugins. I deal with hardware units just as much as software.

And frankly, just back off, I finished dealing with you during that whole discussion about Nikola Tesla, because I realized exactly what kind of "expert" I was dealing with, and I decided it would be better to spend my time doing something productive rather than arguing here.

Best regards.

🤣 It isn't particularly graceful to distort the facts just to mask how you've disqualified yourself through such acute ignorance. It is perfectly clear that you lack the capability, though that isn't the issue at hand.
Since you claim to be so talented, do you actually play any wind instruments? I won't say trumpet, lest I offend you. I don't play anything, but I program instruments. 🕺

But once again, you failed to grasp my point, Aaron Baker7, I was doing this 19 years before you even heard of these tools... and they are nothing more than Lego bricks—simple enough for anyone to master in a heartbeat.
What you haven't mastered—and what is the true giveaway of your limited skill set—is how to actually achieve quality. True artistry lies in working with analog gear.
Digital workstations and samples are a joke... you can learn them all in a week. But it's all useless if you lack the fundamental knowledge and vision.
The entire purpose of this forum is to observe the discourse, not to perform some act of morality that allows the ignorant to spread misinformation that bears no relation to reality.
Even more damaging is that this isn't just about one thread... this is how figures like local corrupt politicians rise to power—people receive false information from useful idiots or simpletons.
Naturally, the support provided by the incompetent and the pretenders is crucial... it shouldn't surprise you that you didn't manage to contribute a single cent of value 🤔
aside from repeatedly explaining that you "didn't mean it"... 👍 even when you and others were warned about the mistakes you are making.

P.S. The fact that you don't even know what a correlation meter on a mixer is (post5) speaks volumes about the shallowness of your supposed "knowledge"... wouldn't you agree? 🙂

Anyone with even a modicum of technical recording knowledge would have been warned about such things in the introductory stages of a course. It is evident that you possess neither true understanding nor formal training; you are merely "trained." However, even the trained can become the best when they are actually learning, rather than just performing for an audience—even a blind chicken occasionally finds a grain of corn.
Therefore, regarding your first post... you hold a mere title, a "diploma from a community college," but you possess no actual expertise. You prove this effectively Aaron Baker7 with every single post you make.

An apology for encroaching on this space

Regarding lemonzoo
:
Is this sufficient evidence to validate my claims regarding the lack of... shall we say, sophistication in certain individuals? I mean no offense; I am merely stating facts. This is trivial knowledge, yet one cannot simply rely on raw intelligence to grasp it—if you aren't exposed to these realities, you simply won't know them. Of course, speaking up often makes one look like a heretic. It is notoriously difficult to eradicate ! prejudice and ignorance. Personality cults are almost universally catastrophic.

I can only hope that, moving forward, the discussion finally shifts toward the actual subject matter, rather than dwelling on mere estimates or attempts to invalidate principles that are already established both theoretically and practically.

I honestly don't care who acts rude or uneducated, and frankly, I’m not even an electrical engineer myself. My only real job here is to make sure everyone stays on topic and keeps things civil. If I actually had a degree in this field, I might be able to drop some actual knowledge, but I don't... so if this discussion isn't heading in the direction you personally want it to go, there isn't much I can do to help you with that.
On the Alternative subforum, we don't have a rule saying every single claim needs to be backed up by academic citations; it's more like a casual lounge where we let people's imaginations run wild. If we strictly enforced that, we’d probably have to shut down the Science on the Edge section entirely, since you could technically argue that almost any topic is nonsense if you look hard enough.
Besides, I noticed a while ago that you’ve been pretty critical of how people behave on other parts of the site, similar to how you're acting here, but you’ve always been perfectly fine over on Alternative until now. So just take a breath and settle down... there's no need to start belittling everyone else.
