Let's talk about objectivity and fair moderation

I would really love to understand what exactly warranted a ban for this post.
When you consider that out of 4,000 posts, there are at least 500 that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual topic—not to mention the endless stream of trolls operating at maximum capacity, contributing nothing but spam and provocation—I find myself wondering how my specific contribution earned me a penalty.

It is quite impressive, honestly, how amidst all the sheer nonsense being poured into that thread, your comment, Ryan Vaughn7, manages to stand out so distinctly.

Or perhaps there is a connection to the fact that you simply don't agree with him? Given that you ought to be penalizing yourself ten times over for the trolling you've done in that same thread where Whatever was most vocal, I am left questioning how you can possibly claim any authority to punish others for such behavior.

I have no intention of engaging in a petty back-and-forth, but this feels a bit pathetic, so I just wanted to let you know that I see exactly why you're defending the police. It seems they are above the laws of the USA, much like you believe you are above the rules of this forum.

That sentence is just pure trolling.

If I post a single sentence that doesn't offend anyone, I somehow end up with a strike against my account. Fine, I suppose I’ll just accept that fate.
But it makes me wonder, how many strikes are you actually planning to hand out on that thread if you intend to penalize everyone for every little sentence they write?! And just how many of these penalties are you going to issue for individual lines tucked away inside a single post?!
