Life expectancy...

I just dropped this link above because it really got me thinking. But seriously, how long do you guys actually think you'll live?

With all the medical breakthroughs and tech coming our way, I’m personally banking on hitting the 150 to 200 mark.
That obviously assumes a few organ transplants and a whole lot of good luck.

Unless, of course, I find a way to live forever... maybe with an Alexander ring.

I'm just happy if I make it through a third of that!😎

But honestly, I look around at my own family—my grandfather is 93, and my grandmothers are 83 and 81... and they’re all just sitting there, practically begging for the end to come tomorrow.
What do I know, though? Personally, the whole prospect of extreme old age doesn't exactly do much for me. The brain fog, the dementia, the hip replacements, being stuck in a chair... it's not exactly a selling point. I mean, if someone could actually guarantee a high quality of life through those years, maybe I'd reconsider. But as it stands? I don't want to sound morbid, really, but thanks but no thanks. I'd much rather just slip away without the pain.

I honestly can’t wrap my head around how some people think... it’s basically that old-school mindset our parents used to preach:
get an education, land a stable job, start a family, grind away until retirement, and then just sit around watching TV until you kick the bucket...

There is absolutely no way (and I say this with 27 years of life experience🙂) that I’m going to spend my golden years glued to a screen... just waiting for the end... unless, of course, I end up with health issues so bad that death is the only way out...

I honestly have no clue—I don't even bother stressing about it—but I’m pretty sure if I ever become some old guy who’s just a burden to everyone (if I even make it that far, anyway), once I'm old and immobile and all that... well, I'd rather just pull the trigger. 😳 what's the use?
