Locked threads

Here we go again... that word was practically extinct, and now suddenly everyone's using it. To make matters worse, my thread just vanished into thin air. No error messages, no nothing—I have no clue what happened to it, and I’d really like some answers.
First things first: what happened to that thread? Who nuked it and why?

I've got a suggestion: if a moderator decides a thread needs to be pulled, why not just archive it in a separate PDF or somewhere else? Why kill it off entirely when there's still actual conversation happening?
So, how about a "dead threads" PDF archive? What do you guys think?🤷

Well, this one was deleted because it doesn't belong in a PDF. Politics—and those kinds of topics usually just end up inviting trolls and insults.

Is sending an author or a moderator a heads-up before closing a thread really that much of a struggle?🤷..Just shut it down, but let them know..

I'll let you know if I ever decide to delete your thread in the future. We don't usually do that, but just so you know.
