Hey there!
I was wondering if anyone knows where I could pick up some small but heavy-duty tension springs—looking for something around 2 inches—here in the Chicago area?

Maybe try checking around some local auto parts stores or even somewhere that deals with farm equipment. I happened to notice on a few old tractors—mostly those classic John Deere models—that they have these specific springs attached to the clutch pedal that pop it back up after you press it down. From what I could tell, they look to be about 3 to 4 inches long...
