Lost my wallet :cry:

Had a few too many drinks this past Friday night... 😢
My wallet is still sitting there with my driver’s license, insurance card, and my monthly transit pass (🙂)... what can I actually do to boost my chances of getting it back?
Some people suggested calling local radio stations—apparently, in cities like Indianapolis, everything ends up being turned in there. I also heard that Unique might have its own Lost and Found system...

Any advice or similar stories out there?

Stick to the paths you remember walking and keep an eye on the bushes—who knows, maybe someone hasn't spotted it yet 🤷 Checking in with local radio stations might be worth a shot, or even posting some flyers on telephone poles. If there's paperwork involved, a good samaritan might think to drop it off there.
I actually saw a note taped to a street lamp once that said something like, "Lost wallet here, call this number for a reward" 😁 Give it a try 🤷

A few years back, my old lady had her bag swiped (with all her IDs inside, of course). She tried calling the radio stations, but nothing turned up 🤷 Then, a day later, a guy I know called me because he recognized her photo in her mom's wallet 🤣 He’d also found the phone in the bag since the thieves only grabbed the cash and credit cards... apparently, the bag itself was found hanging from a tree in a neighbor's yard 🤣

I really hope luck is on your side and someone who recognizes you turns it in 🙂

So, I finally got the lowdown on what happened to my wallet. 😁
My wife called me after hearing about it on the radio—turns out she found my monthly budget scattered all over the street. Basically, they picked my wallet clean and tossed the rest aside, and I hadn't even accounted for those $17 items yet.
I suppose they figured they could use the cash for some prescription meds. 😠

I lost my wallet a few days ago, and this guy actually tracked me down on Facebook to send me a message. He left his number, we linked up, and he handed it right back to me—and get this, he wouldn't take a single cent for it. My sister passed away after a night of drinking where she left her wallet in the restroom; she didn't even realize it was gone until two days later.
She went back to look, hoping someone might have tucked it aside, but there it was—just sitting right where she dropped it. Honestly, she's luckier than she is smart. 🙏

Just head down to the police station and see if they'll void the whole thing so you can start from scratch... I mean, seriously. Back in high school, a group of kids in my class swiped a priest's wallet. They actually went as far as taping a picture of a donkey over his ID photo before just dropping it right back where they found it. But they $133 managed to leave him 🤣

p.s. just kidding. report the cards to the bank to freeze them and just deal with getting new IDs. i bet if someone saw an ID lying around, they'd probably try to reach out somehow... 🤷

But honestly, the worst part of this whole mess is seeing someone just toss documents all over the street. I mean, seriously? Take the money if you want, but there's zero benefit to grabbing someone else's driver's license or insurance card. All you're doing is causing massive headaches for a stranger. You could have just reached out; maybe you would have even earned a reward, or at least left them somewhere they could actually be found. But no... instead, you just leave the chaos behind.

Honestly, you’re better off just grabbing every single cent out of someone's wallet rather than trying to be some kind of saint by rewarding them with a fifth of it.☕

Some guy—way far from where I actually lost them—found everything. He didn't touch the wallet, though. 🙏 🙏
