Do you actually use this alcohol-based hand sanitizer, and more importantly, do you think it actually works?

We use it at the hospital, so I assume it does the job well enough

But for home use, it feels like a bit much... I get enough of it at work, washing my hands with it a dozen times a day

I see it being used all over the place in hospitals since it’s basically just a quick way to do a "dry wash" on the go, which honestly saves a ton of time when things get hectic.
It definitely gets the job done, though.
The only real downside for me is how much it dries out my skin—it leaves my hands feeling super rough, so I usually have to grab some heavy-duty lotion afterward just to fix it.

What kind of ad is this even supposed to be? ... 😕

Are you going to ask if we drink Guinness and if we find it effective? .. 😉 👍

This isn't an ad, just a question. I've been washing my hands way too often lately—it's becoming a bit of an obsession—so I was thinking about switching things up with something other than the standard soap I'm already tired of using.
How effective are these antiseptic wipes, really?

That’s just a disinfectant—chlorhexidine in an alcohol base. If you use it too often, it’ll absolutely wreck your skin. It dries your hands out so badly they start cracking and developing erosions. You'd need to be extra diligent about using heavy moisturizers afterward, and honestly, Lysol shouldn't be part of your daily routine.

And if you're dealing with psychological issues, like a phobia of germs or sickness that forces you into compulsive hand-washing... well, then you should probably go see a psychiatrist.

It’s been quite a while since this thread was first started, but I’m checking back in because the issue of excessive hand washing is still a massive problem.
Does anyone have any updated thoughts on Betadine or Aseptisole?
