MacBook Air

Hey there.

Anyone here actually used this ultrabook?
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger, but I'm leaning toward the FHD model over the QHD one. I don't really care for touchscreens, and on a 13" screen, I doubt you'll even notice the resolution difference.

The catch is that the FHD version apparently only comes with 8GB of RAM, while the 16GB option is tied to the higher res. That's a bit of a headache.

It’ll be my main coding machine—nothing heavy on the graphics side.

Would love to hear from anyone who's actually put this thing through its paces.

So, I’m rocking a MacBook Air and honestly, it’s a solid little machine, but man, the Wi-Fi situation is driving me absolutely insane. These Killer cards they slap in there are just... problematic, to put it lightly. Specifically, the Windows 10 drivers are a total mess; if I jump over to Ubuntu, I can pull about 60 Mbps on a speed test, but when I'm back on Windows, that same test drops to a pathetic 5-6 Mbps.

It seems like I'm not the only one dealing with this headache either, since plenty of other people have complained about these cards, and there's even a guide out there for swapping them out for an Intel card.

What specs are you running? 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD? Or something else?
Is the screen FHD or QHD?
