If anyone can help me out, I’m looking for magnetic balls—you know, those things called Cybercubes, Neocubes, or Zen Magnets (they all come in similar packaging)—and I want to know where I can pick some up around Chicago and what the going rate is. The only place I’ve managed to track them down is at a small shop in a local mall, but I wanted to start this thread because nobody bothered to answer my questions on the main discussion board regarding availability.

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

And I suppose I should ask, why exactly aren't you particularly fond of those NeoCubes from WannaGo? 🤷

So, where did you actually end up getting those magnets?

I’m hunting for some right now and I have a feeling WannaGo is totally overcharging. But honestly, it doesn't look like anyone else is selling them for a decent price unless you dig through some random Craigslist ads...

I tried both the silver and gold sets—honestly, they’re a waste of money $100. Long story short, the gold ones lose their finish after just one day, turning greasy and brown. The silver versions last slightly longer—maybe a week or two if you're actually using them—but then the coating flakes off and leaves your hands looking gross.

Another thing: these magnets have two poles, so handling them isn't nearly as seamless as those flashy promo videos make it look. It's fun for a minute, but the quality is subpar... save your cash and just buy a high-end Rubik's Cube instead.

eBay.
The selection is massive, spanning all sorts of sizes, and the prices are significantly lower than what we typically see here in the States. We ended up purchasing through eBay ourselves, and I honestly have nothing to complain about...
