So, I’m 21 and dealing with a major issue regarding stretch marks. They first showed up when I was about 15 or 16—mostly on my back and shoulders because of a sudden growth spurt during my swimming days. For a while, things were stable, but since picking up some extra weight recently through sports (I’ve gained about 15-20 pounds, though I wouldn't call myself overweight; I actually still need to bulk up), new ones have started appearing. Now they’re spreading across my upper arms, shoulders, back, and chest...
The most recent one popped up just above the armpit, right in the inner crease of my arm. It’s quite red, and honestly, it’s starting to get under my skin.
I have zero intention of quitting my training just to avoid stretch marks, even if they keep showing up, so I’m looking for actual solutions. From what I’ve gathered, laser treatment seems to be the gold standard, but living in Miami, I’m not sure which clinic to trust. I heard about "Pfizer" being an option up in Washington, D.C., but that’s quite a trek for me. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. Regarding topical fixes, I’ve tried Vichy (assuming it works fine for men) as well as a DIY mix of lemon juice and olive oil... To be blunt, I don't think they did a thing.
