A loud trio, partially made up of members from the successful band Albemarle, has officially stormed the US music scene with their new project, Manntra. They just dropped their debut single and music video for the track "rain," which you can grab for free at www.manntra.hr.
The guys in Manntra describe "rain" as being "as smooth as water and as loud as a storm."

"We felt this was the perfect song to introduce Manntra to the world, and the feedback has been surprisingly positive. Some might hear 'rain' as a song of hope, while others will likely be offended by its harsh lyrics and subject matter... but that’s just Manntra. Our theme is love in all its forms, even the violent or cruel ones. In the end, though, the rain washes away both the good and the bad," the band commented regarding the somewhat controversial and high-energy track. The production was handled by Marko Matijević Sekul, with the video directed by Dražen Željković.

Don't be ridiculous... I was talking about her vocal style from the get-go—you could have just added a heavy techno beat under it and suddenly you’d have a crowd of frat boys going wild.

The music itself is alright, I guess. It’s got a decent groove going, and the execution is solid enough. However, the lyrics feel pretty uninspired—just a bit "blah"—and the vocals tend to overreach, trying to push past what the singer can actually deliver when they could be doing much better with a more grounded approach.

Zero divided by zero. Absolute garbage. It’s not even remotely ethnic. Just some turbo-pop mashed with rock drums and vocals that sound like they were strained out of a corpse. It's just overproduced trash masquerading as something real. Honestly, an insult to anyone with actual ears... I'm officially done with their stuff forever.
Comparing Tamara Obrovac to this is like comparing a gourmet steak to a rusty bicycle.
I mean, seriously, how is anyone with a shred of soul supposed to stomach this?!

Nobody has actually compared Tamara Obrovac to them before 😉 but since this is just their debut single, they’re decent. I don't think this is some cheesy pop track at all; it feels more like a fresh sound they're trying to push into the US music scene. Personally, I think they can do better, and I'm certain they will 😉

Look, nobody actually said that. You’re just overthinking things a bit. 😉 Regardless, I think they deserve our support because they're putting in the work... just like any young band trying to make it in the US music scene. You have to have the guts to step out with something fresh instead of immediately tearing them down. 😉 But hey, if that's just how people here act, then nothing is surprising. Either way, I'd much rather listen to something like this than those plastic pop songs being played in every club across America. 😉

It’s not some "American mindset" thing, it’s just that the music isn't any good. It has nothing to do with being from certain parts of the country.

The guys aren't doing anything new, and honestly, they aren't even doing anything unoriginal. It’s just like... Rammstein mixed with Siddhartha (if you can even remember their names anymore) and that's it. 🤷

Give me a break! This music is incredible, and honestly, if you don't dig it, that’s your problem, not theirs. You aren't some big-shot music critic, nor are you a top DJ at a major station in New York City, so I highly doubt your opinion carries any weight with the band members themselves—if they even bother to read this—let alone their fanbase, which is growing by the day...
On the other hand, maybe this isn't even jealousy; perhaps it's just the narrow-mindedness of people who struggle to embrace genuine evolution.

Look, you can drop ten thousand posts across various forums all you want, but that doesn't make you an objective authority on reality. You're just one person with an opinion. People clearly like this stuff. We're talking over 100,000 views in just three weeks. If we were seeing only 3,000 views in three weeks here in the US, that would be a win, let alone hitting numbers north of 100,000 😉
The truth is, you aren't being realistic—you're just being subjective because you can't wrap your head around a new genre entering the US music scene. Give it time. People eventually get used to everything 😉 😂
