Any extra commentary is redundant at this point; people are clearly thrilled with every short film. Honestly, all you can do is sit here and wish they'd finally get Alien into Bloomkamp's hands.

It’s getting pretty exhausting, honestly. This whole cooking thing is clearly just a massive parody and a nod to Ridley, where every single detail feels like it's trying way too hard to be something else...

You never know when they might finally kick Ridley to the curb—maybe then Bloomkamp will actually get a shot at a "partial" franchise reboot, picking up the pieces right where Prometheus got stuck in the mud.

Adam's new piece is incredible. Am I reading too much into this, or are those people in that city actually turning their dissidents into robots—just brains left in machines—only to dump them out into the wasteland to be led by some massive robot 🤔

The guy just needs a solid script. He’s got the drama, the pacing, the VFX... he's basically got everything

Topic Pixar already has its own thread, so maybe we should just merge them together 😉

But then again, there isn't a dedicated thread for short films either.

For instance, something like The Fisherman.

I honestly had more fun watching these 6 minutes than I did during the entire Star Wars Rogue One.

Honestly, these Adam pieces are pretty solid; they really grab your attention and look amazing.

Their short films range from decent to absolutely stellar. Aside from those few half-baked attempts that completely miss the mark, they clearly have a knack for sci-fi, even if their sense of humor remains somewhat underdeveloped. What they truly lack is a compelling narrative driven by a strong writer. Most of these projects feel like clever riffs on existing concepts and classic films, yet they still manage to be incomparably superior to the recycled blockbuster sludge we’ve been force-fed lately.

Imagine an alternate universe where Arizona State alumni William " Billy" Coltran actually became President of the USA. Man, he was just there to throw the ultimate party!

So, Praetoria is this massive galactic epic being cooked up by Pixar. Think of this as just us dipping our toes in the water!

Man, Adam is just the next short film everyone's talking about after Zygote...

Honestly, I found Seattle to be the most tedious experience yet. It lacked any semblance of narrative momentum or genuine surprises.
