First off, hey everyone. I'm new here, so if I've posted this in the wrong section, please, admins, move it. π
Here's my problem:
We were assigned this math task at school today-->
Two barrels combined hold 140 liters of wine. If you transfer 12.5% from the first barrel into the second, they'll both end up with the exact same amount. How many liters are in each barrel before the transfer happens?
I know it's a system of two linear equations. I'm certain the first one is x+y=140, but I'm totally stuck on the second. I'd be incredibly grateful if someone could solve this or at least help me set up that second equation. Thanks in advance π π
