Anyone know where I can pick up some medical gear? Specifically looking for a Philips Respironics DreamStation. I found one shop out in the suburbs of Chicago that handles sales and repairs, but I'm wondering if there are any other outfits out there carrying them.

The price tag on these things here is over $2,500.
I did find a shop in Canada where they’re selling it for half that—honestly, it seems way more worth the trip. Still, I wanted to see if there's anything cheaper closer to home to avoid the hassle of customs and stuff. Even with those extra fees, I’d probably still save about $700, which isn't nothing. My only real worry is the warranty—if this thing craps out, I don't really want to deal with shipping it all the way back to Canada and waiting forever for a repair.

thanks

peace

I’ve been hunting for that same device myself, so if you don't mind me asking, did you end up picking one up locally? Whereabouts did you get it?
Unfortunately, around here, Exagrupa is pretty much the only place that carries it.
Since the price tag is sitting at roughly $1667, I'm having a really hard time pulling the trigger on
buying it through our local shops.
I’m still holding out hope that I can score a better deal online somewhere.
I wonder if those Philips Respironics DreamStation units have the exact same features, too.
You see stuff on eBay—like just the machine, masks, filters, and all the little extras that come with it
but then you have to wonder... is it actually the real deal?

I ended up just buying mine here in the States

When I actually sat down and did the math—between customs fees, gas, the sheer gamble of ordering online, shipping costs, and wondering if my package would even show up in one piece—I realized it wasn't worth the headache. I didn't want to risk it for what was basically a tiny saving.

Greetings,

I have a deviated septum and have been diagnosed with sleep apnea. It appears that even after surgery to correct the deviation, I will still need a CPAP machine at night, as my doctors advise. This brings me to the topic you are discussing. If anyone has researched these machines, please let me know which brands are considered high quality and what the typical price range is in the US. Personally, I am looking for a compact model that perhaps offers some battery backup in case of a power outage. Any advice would be appreciated. Based on the comments here, if a machine costs $0.00 here but is half the price in Canada, it’s a massive difference. To save that money, I’d have to work like a dog for a month, whereas saving it locally would take me six months.
